excel headers do not respond

hi.

i have quick question. whenever i try to open an excel
(office 2000) file with IE 6 the headers like Format,
Tools, Insert, Data, View, etc. do not respond. but File
does. I have tried to uninstall office 2000 and re-
install and update windows and IE but to no avail. but it
works fine on another pc. any suggestions would be
appreciated.
