Hi-
I am trying to make a histogram from a large block of data. I am usin
the Histogram tool in the Data Analysis pack. I want to use a block o
data on one worksheet (Distances) and Bin and Output ranges from
second worksheet (Hist).
I open the histogram tool from worksheet Hist and enter the data rang
that I want for the analysis as
Distances!$D$4:$AB$54 (or whatever the range ends up being)
After also selecting the Bin and Output ranges (in worksheet Hist),
click okay and I get the error message:
Histogram - Input range must be a contiguous reference.
However, I *DID* enter a contiguous reference. Also, after I clic
okay and get the error, Excel has changed the Input Range to:
[850C-180A-200nmThin-1.xls]Distances!R4C4:R54C28
The particularly odd thing is that I have done the EXACT same thing i
a number of other workbooks with no problems at all.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
P.S. I just tried copying and pasting all the data from th
malfunctioning workbook into a brand new workbook and it worked fine.
How odd. Still wondering what the problem with the first one i
though
