Excel import into Visio Org Chart

I am a new user. I chose to go through the wizard to set up my chart using
Excel. I have entered my Chief, managers and some reports. On the spreadsheet
I have locations entered into a column for the managers but not thier reports
and once imported it leaves a space in the reports boxes due to the blank
excel cell that it wont let me delete. How can I rid the org chart of hte
extra spaces?
