Excel in Explorer hangs when following URL

We have encountered a weird problem, when opening an Excel
document (2k) in IE (5.5,6) the program will hang if we try
to follow a URL link directly after a large portion of text
have been copied.




If we copy+Esc the URL can be followed...




Repeating the procedure working in Excel directly there are
no problems following the link.




Any ideas why this happens?
