Hi JB,
Try removing all the preferences and delete them.
Secondally If you create a new user and try opening the Excel does that
help ?
What happenes when you reinstall after completly uninstalling the Microsoft
office and reinsatll without any updates and check.

Here's a weird one - Excel won't start up - tried reinstalling excel, did
complete office install on an external drive, checked updates - doesn't want
to play.
Word, Powerpoint and Entourage still work.
I'm running 10.2.8 on a 600Mhz G3 iMac
