Excel "integrated" in VB6

Hi,

I am using a Excel Workbook to produce report (with VB6).
I would like to have all the workbook specs without
having to carry the file along... creating it on run-time
is too long so do you know how I can "compilate or
integrate it" in a .exe program so it would be part of
the application?

I doubt there is anyway to do that and still have it work with automation.
The Excel application is what provides the interface to the file and it only
works with files.

If you want to be able to create XLS files from VB without
having Excel, have a look at ExcelWriter from
www.softartisans.com. They also have a 'free' version for
evaluation. Essentically, SoftArtisan supply an ActiveX
DLL that allows you to create, populate and save LS files
from any language that can use COM components; VB can.

Sure but at $500 for the Limited edition and $1500
for the full version its not exactly cheap.

Aspose have a similar offering but licenses for internal
deployment run between $290 and $600

Note that Aspose does specify VB.Net rather than VB6 however
