I get an error message stating that Excel is not installed on my laptop when
I am using Excel? This is a totally local scenario with no networking
involved. I usually have 1-2 excel spreadsheets open along with 2 other
spreadsheets that are opened from within Word. Word and Excel (enterprise)
are on C and the data files are on D. All calculations are + -*/ with no
macros. Docs are docx and SS are xlsx - no compatibility mode involved. OS
is XP Pro with 1GB RAM. A clean re-install of both OS and Office last week
did NOT fix this. ANY guidance appreciated.
Note - get the same results if access the files over a network and use
another install of office 07 on a second system, also running XP.
