Hi,
Excel keeps shutting down while I am adding info (text) in cells.it is usually when I press enter. it is both the templates and my own worksheet. If it shuts down, it only saves part of my work and I have to redo it again. in addition, everytime i change the currency to € from to dollar, when shutting down part of it changes back to $.
I am saving it as xls extension.
Now i am saving it every second I add something which is a nightmare!
can someone help? thanks in advance

Try:

Close all Office apps. Delete (or move to a new folder) these files:

~:Library:preferences:com.microsoft.Excel.plist
~:Library:preferences:com.microsoft.Office.plist

and this folder:

~:Library:preferences:Microsoft:Office 2008:

(where ~ is your home folder).

Does the problem still occur?

If so, does it occur if you try it in a newly created OS X account?
