Excel links updated at beginning of Slide Show

Hello All,
I'm able to update automaticaly all the links in a powerpoint 2003 before
start of show.
My powerpoint is linked to several excel files. The users changes Datas in
excel file and the modification are updated to powerpoint.

If a user edit the excel file during the slide show start, the system
running the powerpoint show give us a message saying : File in use. Do you
want to open the file in Read Only or receive a notification when the file is
free.

How can we force powerpoint to open the linked excel file without asking
user input ?
I hope you will be able to give me some information.
