Hi,
This is occuring for one file. The file is on the local HD of my iMac.
I am running OS X 10.5.6 3.06 ghz with 4gb.
The file when clicked on desktop loads default excel sheet but not file
This also occurs if I try and load via clicking excel-file-open
This file also is visually different on desktop - This file has one of the
excel sheets as the icon instead of the generic excel file icon
Any ideas????
thanks

What is your update level for Office 2008? It should be 12.1.5 which, if
not, might account for the behavior.

If you need to update make sure to repair disk premissions afterward.

The source of the file may also be at fault - especially if it was received
via web mail. Does it bear the appropriate extension to the file name? Have
you tried Control/Right-Clicking to select Open With & specifying Excel?
