Whenever I open an Excel file on my computer, which has
XP home edition, I get a message saying I already have a
copy of the file open and do I want to open a copy. I
always just cancel the question and go on with my
business.
I also had a similar problem when opening a word file but
got some info on how to eliminate that problem. To get
rid of the problem with Word, I went to the Run program
and typed in "winword.exe /regeserver" pushed open and
it the problem went away. When I tried the same thing
with excel, I typed in winexcel.exe which didn't work and
then typed in just excel.exe but neither one worked.
Anyone got a solution?
