Hi everyone,

Is there something in MS-Access similar to "Name Box" in Excel?

Thanks,
Mike

hi
not that i am aware of.
access doesn't have named ranges. doesn't have ranges.

perhaps you could explain more about what you are trying to do in
access.

You may want to ask in a forum dedicated to access, too.

In mathematical programming, when you are building a model, you can
refer to input-data in Excel using workbook_name---->worksheet_name---
given_NameBox of the block that has that data

In other words, you can list your data vectors or tables in one Excel
workbook, give each a box name, and refer to it later by name in any
model you are building...

Now, in Access, I am assuming there is no such thing as "Name Box",
right? So, how can you go around this?

Thanks,
Mike

I have no idea. I would think that asking in a forum dedicated to Access would
be better.

I'm with Dave on this one. What I've read so far, I'm having trouble
grasping the question you're asking within the context of Access.

I'd suggest comp.databases.ms-access as a good place to begin; but I'll
caution you that some in that group killfile everything coming from
Google Groups.

You might want to look into news providers such as
eternal-september.org, aioe.org or individual.net (there are others).
