Excel not finding the server in web query

After creating and running my query file, excel is unable to "locate the
internet server". This is for any website I try to connect to, and my
browser/modem are working fine. When I created the file, the sites displayed
in the query manager. Is there a setting I'm missing?
Any help is appreciated,
