Excel now won't open

When trying to cut and paste graphs from Excel into Word today, I kept
getting an error report which shut down Word, and said that to stop it
happening I could download an update (Office XP Service Pack 3). So I did
that, but 17 mins into the 18 min download, it asked me to put in the
original 'Office XP Professional with Front Page' disc. I don't have one
exactly like that, only one called 'Office XP Professional' so I tried this,
but it said Installation Unsuccessful. However, now it won't let me open
Excel or any of my Excel files, since when I click on them it starts an
installation process that requires this disc that I don't have. What do I
do?! I desperately need to use Excel! Thanks.

I think you can go to the control panel and uninstall the update, leaving you
where you were before.
They love to ask for the original discs. Often hard when you have different
instalations on different machines.

My help is on the following...

No more snoring through boring, lengthy training. MDO tutorials are 5 -
10 minute videos, each focusing on high value skills needed to get the
most out of your software applications. Short and to the point, MDO
tutorials are concise enough to rewind or to fast forward to the exact
topic you want, exactly when you want it. Keep them on your own PC -
download them at work - or watch them on your while you are working on
your computer.
