Excel number format changes after upgradingto Service Pack 1 (SP1)

Processor: intel

After installing SP1, Excel formated all percentage numbers with "." instead of "%".
Also, all numbers with decimal parts were multiplied by 100!
For example before SP1 install I had 4 cells with 12345 value but formated has follows:
12345
12.345,00
12.345,00€
1234500%
After SP1 install the same cells showed the following:
12345
1234.500,00
1234.500,00€
1234500.
It has something to do with how Excel interpets the comma and the point in number formating. The problem goes away when I change internacional format setting to USA the system preferences (I currently use International: Portugal format settings).
Can somebody help me to fix this?
Thanks!

I have the exact same problem. Portuguese Location. It seems that some mac products are obviously USA orientated and this is one more bad example of this.

Well...just got the same problem...after reinstalling everything again...

There is however another fix...just move on to NeoOffice!

It's free and it works reasonably well...

Besides...Excel for Mac doesn't support VB Scripts either...
