Excel Oddity

Has anyone ever seen or know the solution for this Excel
oddity? Thanks in advance.

-When the user tries to navigate between cells, the
function line at the top remains stuck on one value.
However, if he selects the new cell with his mouse, then
the value changes in the function line to the correct
value.

Tell the user to keep his/her sticky fingers off the Scroll Lock key!

If, by "function line" you mean the formula bar, I can't duplicate this in Excel XP. When I move
the active cell with the arrow keys, the formula bar updates with each change.
