excel(office 2003) crashes on 'save as' command at least 15 times.

my excel crashes every time I try to save a file. it always happens at least
15 times a day. it says excel has encountered a problem and it needs to
close. then it sends the error report, etc... I am not being able to save any
file and then it produces the old excel file. I uninstalled office 2003 and
then reinstalled but the problem persists. I am running on XP-Prof with 1 GB
RAM and 2.8Ghz Intel P4.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Abhi,
Don't know if this will work since you have already performed an unistall /
reinstall, but try detect and repair under the Help Menu.
