I have Excel 2007 with SP1 and all the latest Windows updates. I am running
Vista ultimate 64-bit edition on a dual core laptop with 4GB of RAM.
Quite often in Excel, when I go to do something for the first time in a
while, like when I hit the BOLD toolbar button or CTRL-B, Excel will "hang"
for several seconds. This happens sometimes with scrolling too, or using
other formatting options, etc.
I have seen similar reports on the internet (e.g.
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20070922132803AAEKpvL).
This is driving me slowly insane. Its tempting to move back to Office 2003.
Anyone know how to solve this???
