Excel Opening as Personal.xls file - HELP

I am not sure exactly what I did to make this happen, but when I am trying to
open a new .xls file (book1.xls) it is now opening as personal.xls and then
when I try to close the file I get a couple of virtual basic errors. I was
trying to learn macros, not so well obviously, and copied one into virtual
basic editor.
I don't kow what else I may have done, but I can not restore my system back
to yesterday, because the system restore was turned off! Any help would be
greatly appreciated.

Persnoal.xls should be hidden. Select Window, Hide from the menu, then close
Excel and save changes when prompted.
You'll have to fix the VBA errors yourself, but you can allways post the
offending code in the programming newsgroup to get help!
