Excel opening from Email link

I has Office 2007,deleted and have 365 Installed from Microsoft download account....we encounter a blank page in excel when we open in email document....the only way is to open Excel file,NEW sheet,then choose the appropriate file?
Ideas?
Word was having similar issues..
