Hello -
I have run accross a "glitch" that I was hoping that someone could explain
to me.
My formula to get the difference (%) from accepted value is:
(0.95 - ((56287500)/(59250000)))/.95)
The numbers in extra parenthases are references to other cells.
After placing a conditional format on the result, I found that the answer is
not the accepted value (*0.00%), but showing in excel as
2.3373116307898E-16%. I assume this has to do with the method that this is
calculated, but I would appreciate any insight that anyone may have on this
condition.
Thank you,
Paul C.
