Excel out of Memory

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel

I am getting the same error as this post: <http://www.officeformac.com/ms/ProductForums/Excel/4443>

Ive done everything Bob suggested and still no luck. PowerPoint also doesn't open, it give a "powerpoint got an unexpected error from the system". Word and Entourage work. Need help on this issue. thanks.
