Excel page setup

I made changes to the page set-up, including printing the first few lines of a worksheet on each page of the document. When I close the worksheet and reopen, these lines no longer are formatted to print on each page. This also happens when you move margins, they don't stay when the worksheet is reopened. How can I make these formats stay? Also, Is there going to be a fix for the loss of the preview? It was a single step, now it takes at least three steps to preview.

What version of Office (I could *guess* 2008) & OS X?

Did you save the file after making the changes?

Is it one specific file or all files that exhibit the behavior.

As to the Print Preview matter I'm afraid you might as well learn to live
with it:) This is in compliance with Apple's OS X guidelines - Print
Services are an OS function & Print Preview wasn't generated by the program
being used. Take a look in your View menu for Print Layout - that will make
your life easier... and there are no "three steps" involved in previewing -
Command+P is all you need

I have discovered the preview after command+p. But if you do that
and then get a preview that you can't really see, you have to press
preview, which brings up the preview application - 3 steps.

Yes, Office 2008 and OS 10.4.

Yes, I saved after making the changes. I even tried a couple of the
worksheets a second time - making the change and saving, closing and
finding that I needed to make the changes again when I reopened.

This happened with seven different files that I had saved today - a
lot of work down the drain since I will have to make the changes yet
another time before I print the documents to hand out.
