Excel, PC function F2 to outline cells in sum/formula

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)

On my old PC, I would ---
take a column of numbers and through a formula, create a sum.
I know you can use Auditing to see what cells are included in that sum/formula
but the old PC had a quick function- F2;
when I'd use F2,
it would then color-outline the boxes that were included in the sum/formula ... which was very helpful when the cells didn't run consecutively.
Does anyone know a similar function for my new Apple?
Help.

On the Mac - as originally assigned before being changed in the Windows
version - Control+U is the stroke you're looking for. See Excel Help on:

Excel keyboard shortcuts

for a complete breakdown.

Doesn't double clicking the cell with the formula outline the referred
cells as you describe?

You're absolutely correct, Harvey, but many prefer to use keystrokes rather
than reaching for the rodent :)
