Excel PC to Mac

I have an intense spreadsheet that was authored in Windows Office 2003
when copied into my Mac (G5 w/ Office X) the size of the sheet is much
wider than the original (3 columns wider)
I checked page setup, unmerged cells, narrowed columns as much as
possible and still cannot even get close the page border (width only,
height is OK) Can anyone help? this sheet has to be one page only
because it is printed daily...two pages just won't work

The change is probably due to different font sizes. You can get most of
the way there by ensuring that the same fonts are used in
Preferences/General/Standard Font.

Column widths are set to the number of numeric characters in the
standard font, so if the Mac is set to a wider font, then the sheet will
be wider.

Note that in XL2004 you can set column widths directly in inches or cm.

You can also use File/Page Setup/Page/Fit to 1 page wide (leave the
number of pages tall blank).
