Excel Pivot Table - SD bug fixed

Back in August '06, I reported that Excel 2004 for Mac produced
incorrect standard deviation calculations in pivot tables.

I'm happy to say that Microsoft has just released Update 11.3.3 and it
contains the fix to the SD problem in Excel Pivot tables. It worked as
advertised on my test spreadsheet.

A public 'thank you' to Patrick McMillan at Microsoft who took this
issue seriously and took the necessary steps to get it fixed. :)
