Excel - PPT - Word Problem

I am a training professional using the most updated version of MS
Office 2004 for Mac. I create training guides and slide decks for
corporate customers who are mostly on PCs. My specific problem is on a
project in which I need to create pie charts in Excel, copy and paste
them (as pictures) into PowerPoint, and then copy and paste thumbnails
from slide sorter into a Word facilitator guide (scaled down 35%). All
of the slides in the deck paste perfectly into Word except for the ones
with Excel pie charts. The charts do not resize appropriately into Word
(although they look fine in PPT slide sorter). However, my customer who
is on PC appears to have no probably copying and pasting these pie
chart thumbnails into the guide. It seems to be a Mac issue.
