excel printing causing loss of network connection

I've created a excel spreadsheet, added vb code to connect
to a SQL Server 6.5 database and then pull data and put
into cells. If the users run a report, then print, then
run the report again they lose network connectivity. An
error message appears stating they have a printing problem
bit it does it on all printers. I'm assuming this error
comes up because they have lost network connectivity.
They are using MS Excel 2002.

Anyone know of any fixes?
