Excel printing problems with macros in spreadsheet

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel I have an older printer (Xerox Phaser 5400) which has been a work horse. I have just purchased a new iMac that has Leopard on it. Now, my spreadsheets that were made in 2008 Excel won't print to the Xerox if they have macros in them. Anyone have a fix on this? I uploaded the driver AGAIN from Xerox website and it doesn't fix the problem.

I can¹t see how the presence or absence of macros has anything to do with
this. What does ³won¹t print² mean. Do you get an error? Does anything
happen? Is the document in the print queue? I also use a Xerox Phaser (but
an 8560) and have never had any kind of printing problem with any version of
Excel.

It does nothing. The document prints to any other printer on the network, but not to the Xerox 5400. It doesn't show up on the print queue or give any error what so ever. It is rather odd. Any simple excel spreadsheet does print. Just not a spreadsheet with macros in it.

Well, that is really bizarre. If your workbook is not confidential, I¹d be
happy to take a look and see if I can find anything. You can send to me at
the address below.

Sorry- it is confidential. I manage a law firm. I will keep looking. It seems that sometimes Excel has a mind of its own and possibly imbeds something that can't be seen.

Thank you for all your attention to this problem. I appreciate having a sounding board for this issue.

What happens when you open the workbook with the shift key down and
disable macros?

If the workbook prints ok, do you have a Workbook_BeforePrint macro?

There are a couple of print macros in the worksheet. I tried to delete them, but they are still there. Is there a trick to deleting macros that don't want to go away?
