excel printing

In Lotus 1-2-3 if you put a pipe sign in the leftmost
cell of a column and include that column in your
printrange then that row will NOT print.

This has been very handy but I don't seem to be able to
find a similar function in excel.

Does anyone know if there is one?

Hi Jeff

No you don't have this in Excel

You can format the cell like this but then you never see the value
Format>Cells>Custom. Enter ;;;(3 semi-colons).

I have try to put some example code on a page about this
