Excel problem using WebDav

Peter

I'm opening an Excel document from a server using the WebDav protocol. But
when I do so I get the document Read-only although I have full access rights
on the webfolder in IIS as well as on the server file system.

Has anyone had this problem or have any idea of why the document opens
Read-only?

I'm using Excel 2000 on a Windows XP computer.

Hi Peter,

There were some odd behaviors with WebDav and the Office 2000 apps that may be a part of this, but you may want to check with the
folks in the MS Excel newsgroup, via the link below and also mention there the IIS and Server software versions you're using.
