Excel problem with aritmetic calculations

F

Fernando

I´ve been using Excel to register my work accountancy. I built charts where I
insert numbers and with formulas, the program makes sums, calculates
percentage and so on.
One of these days, when I openend my excel file, appeared to me a window
saying that file had a macro. ´But I haven´t created a macro. Then, when I
insert numbers for the program to perform aritmetic calculations, it doesn´t
do it. I had another copy of this file (for an emergency). So when I opened,
the macro window doesn´t appear but once again it doesn´t do any
calculations. I tried with other accountancy files from past years and they
do the calculations. What could be the problem? I´m using Excel 97.

Yours sincerely
Fernando

Hello,
It is difficult to troubleshoot this issue without looking at the
actual file. You could try copying each worksheet in a new Excel
Workbook and then save it with a new name. This might clear up the
issue.

I’m a Virtual Assistant that uses MS Excel for many clients and I’ve
seen issues like this in the past. Let me know if you need any help
with your MS Excel needs.

Hi Joe

That is for me the last solution because the file is divided into 12 months
and each month has a lot of charts, so it is going to take long to pass from
one file to another.
This is the second time it happens to me. The first time I did what you
suggest but now I would like to understand what was the problem.

Thanks
Fernando
