Excel problems moving from Netware to Win 2K server

We are currently moving our data files from Netware to Windows 2000 servers
and have encountered problems with Excel files. Can anyone point me in the
right direction; we can't be the only company who has gone through this
path?

The problem is that relative links in Excel files (2000 and 97) are broken
on transfer: i.e. a file that has links to another one 'higher' in the
hierarchy or on another mapped drive are broken when moving to Windows 2000.

Microsoft no longer provides support for Windows 2000 server? You
didn't buy a support package when you bought Windows 2000 server?

Anyway, do you mean hyperlinks? If so, are the new drives mapped the
same as the old ones? What do the formulas look like? Note that Excel
has never been able to use relative pathnames in external reference
links like

'C:\foo\[bar.xls]whatever'!X99
