I had the same problem as this former post in June 2004:
"I was working in excel when all of a sudden it started
crashing, then when I reopened the file I was working in
the pointer had a page doc attached to the tip of it. Now
when I open the files and click on a cell it automatically
highlights the cells in any direction you move the mouse.
I am wondering if maybe the file may be corrupted but then
again it does the same thing in a new file opened within
excel. I am not having any other problems in my other
programs. Any suggestions?"
I used MS office 2003 and have the same issues. Not sure if this is a
virus or what. Thanks for the help. -K
