excel prompts office CD Rom when opening

When I open microsoft excel Windows returns the message that it is
configuring Microsoft XP Small Office and then prompts me to enter my office
CD. I do not have the CD though. Windows does not prompt me to do this when
I open word or other office software. If I open excel using the excel.exe
and not by clicking to open a particular spreadsheet I can click cancel and
excel will open. Opening an excel spreadsheet will cause the application
quit when cancel is selected. I have scanned my system with Microsoft Beta
Spyware and found nothing.

Additionally, WIndows has attempted to download Service Pack 3, but never
completes the download because of the same problem. After WIndows prompts me
to install the service pack it wants the CD. The only other option is to
Cancel.

Please help.

You probably lack an 'XLStart' sub-folder in your Office10 folder. Put one
in if this is the case.

Good luck
