I have Windows 98 Second Edition installed on my desktop
and I want to purchase the corresponding Excel software
program.

(1.) Does there exist an Excel software package that I can
purchase that directly corresponds to Windows 98 Second
Edition or does Excel 2003 work just as well with desktop
computers loaded with Windows 98 Second Edition as it
would with Windows XP?;

(2.) Can the Excel software that works with Windows 98
Second Edition be purchased singularly without having to
purchase the entire Office suite of additional software
products and, if so, how much should Excel software that
corresponds directly with Windows 98 Second Edition cost?

Thank You.

Excel 2003 will not run on Windows 98 or Windows ME. You need
Windows 2000 or XP. Earlier versions of Excel will run on
Windows98. Excel can be purchased separately from Office. You
might be able to find Excel 2002 or earlier on a site like eBay.

Have a look at ebay for xl97sr2 as it is probably all you need. Be sure to
get a legal copy. If you do a search for xl97 you will also get complete
office 97 hits. Probably not much more for the whole thing.

It is NOT part of xl. It is part of some office suites. So, get an office
suite that includes it.

Do a Google search for "PowerPoint".............it will return MANY
hits..........
