excel says folder is read only and cannot save

New Office 2003 install, Both Excell and Access wont let me save to network
folders that I have admiinistrative rights to and are not marked read only.
But the error every time I try to save to network folder is read only. Can
save to desktop, but unsure why cant save to network files. Any suggestions

Has anyone found a solution o this problem?
I have the exact same problem. Want to save an excelfile as a webpage
on my website server, but get the a pop up saying folder is read only.

What to do?
