How is it possible that MS06-12 (Excel security patch) "replaces" MS06-003
which was a patch which addresses Vulnerability in TNEF Decoding in Microsoft
Outlook.
From the FAQ section of MS06-12, it gives a table saying "This security
update replaces a prior security update. The security bulletin ID and
affected operating systems are listed in the following table." and then it
says Outlook 2003 is replaced. Then if you look at the Administrative
Installation Info for MS06-12, it says it only replaces Excel.exe, which
isn't one of the files replaced in MS06-003! I'm so confused.
Let me know if I've posted this to the wrong forum...thanks.
