Excel shared workbook bug

Tony A

Excel 2002
This bug applies to a shared workbook (working with
multiple worksheets within the workbook.
Example: If A1:A3 in sheet one is populated with numeric
values and sheet 2 reference A1:A5. After entering a
value in cell A4 or A5 in sheet one, the cell A4 or A5
changes its ref to the next cell.

Has this been acknowledged? Is there a fix.

Hi Tony,

You may want to post this in one of the Excel newsgroups and see if
anyone there knows more about this. Additionally, Office XP has two
Service Packs available. You might try updating Office first to see if
the issue you are encountering was fixed in one of the patches.

You can use the Office Product Updates site and use the Scan utility
to find any needed updates:
http://office.microsoft.com/ProductUpdates/default.aspx

Or you can download the patches manually. Here is some info on how to
obtain all of the updates:

OFFXP: How to Obtain the Latest Office XP Service Pack (SP-1 & SP-2)

Please post all follow-up questions to the newsgroup. Requests for
assistance by email can not be acknowledged.
