I have a customer who is trying to access Excel spreadsheets on a SharePoint
site. Every time she tries, SharePoint starts Excel and acts as if it is
going to display the spreadsheet, but then Excel freezes. She needs to End
Task to clear everything.
Excel works fine if she opens a spreadsheet from her hard drive or a network
drive. This only happens when she tries opening a SharePoint spreadsheet. It
also happens with a Word document from SharePoint.
She has:
- Windows 2000 Professional
- Office 2003 SP2
- SharePoint (?? Sorry, I don't know the version yet)
I recreated her user profile, and it worked for a day before it stopped
working again. I have deleted cookies, IE temporary files (including offline
content) and IE's history. I have cleared all the AutoComplete passwords and
form entries. I have not yet uninstalled and reinstalled Office 2003. That
was going to be my next action.
I searched the Office Discussion Groups, but I couldn't find anything that
remotely fit. I've searched Google, but I haven't found anything there yet
either.
Does anyone have any ideas? If you need more information, just let me know
what it is.
Thanks!
