excel sheet protection

Is there a way for me to change font properties (bold,
color) with sheet protection on and cells unlocked?

I need to keep protection for the worksheet's contents.
I can change the data for the unlocked cells but I cannot
alter the data's properties.

Mark,

In XLXP, you can specify that users can change formatting of unlocked cells
in the Tools - Protection command. Not available in 97. Don't know about
2000.
