Excel Sheets take long time to open in Outlook2007

As the title suggests,

When an attached spreadsheet is opened through outlook 2007 (via double
clicking attachment), it takes over 7mins for excel to finally load and bring
up the spreadsheet.
It opens immediately if we open excel first, then double click the attachment.

This fault can be reproduced everytime.

It is only happening for 1 user in a domain environment, after reading other
problems fixes/solutions, I will try to uninstall the antivirus program as a
test.

If anyone has encountered this problem or can offer advice, it would be much
appreciated.

Try clearing out the Outlook cache as well:

This may or may not help. Usually an attachment won't open if that's the
problem but it's worth a look.
