Excel should support the ISO standard date format

James the Standards Man

ISO 8601 standardizes the format of dates written using only numbers. Excel
2003 does not support this format, so I have to write dates as text. This
sucks.

Excel supports the format.

You have to create a custom number format for it to work.

As an Excel date is just a serial number, it can support all manner of date
formats.
