Excel shuts down in pivot table wizard

Some of the spreadsheets that I have with pivot tables do not allow me to go
back and change the source data. When I enter the Pivot Table Wizard and
click "back" to go to the source data selection, Excel shuts down. There are
only a couple of spreadsheets where this is a problem, but it is quite
annoying.
