I got an file in Excel that has 18 columns but when I want to print it and
can't fit all the columns. What can I do to decrease the size it should fit
in?

Thank You very much for your reply.I did as you suggested but it came out so
tiny that it can not be read. It printed only four inches wide.

Landscape instead of Portrait?

This way it squished into 3 inches.

print

Then you will have to accept that you cannot print it all on one page. In
File-Page Setup-Page set the orientation to Landscape and then set the
scaling to fit to one page wide by two or more pages tall. You'll have to
play with it until you get the optimum width with the minimum number of
pages.

I am wondering is it possible the reason this is happing is because even
though 18 columns are used there are much more columns there?

Have you set the print area?

File-Page Setup-Sheet and select the Print Area

No.How do I do it?

File-Page Setup-Sheet and select the Print Area. Click on the box at the
right hand end of the area field and then select the area to be printed.

Don't I have to type something into that space?
Solomon

You can either type the area in, in the format "A1:Z18" (or whatever your
area actually is, without the quotes), or, click on the little box at the
right hand side of the space, and, using your mouse, select the print area.
That will automatically fill the box for you.
