Excel sound alert

How can I create an audible alert sound in an excel
spreadsheet. For instance, if column B falls below the
sum in column A, I would like an alert (sound) or pop-up
message to appear.

Try using the "Conditional Formatting" feature under the
Format menu. You won't get a sound alert or pop-up
message, but you can make the cell shading to change color
if an specific condition is not accomplished. You can add
up to three conditions.
