Excel SP1 Mulitlanguage issue

Hi all

Platform: We're running Excel 2007 SP1 with several language packs installed
on a W2K3 SP2 Multilanguage Terminal Server.

Problem: After applying Office 2007 Suite SP1 pressing for instance SHIFT-O
in Excel 2007 will cause the cursor to move to the first cell of the
worksheet instead of inserting capital O. Changing the language settings for
both OS and Office from Danish to English seems to fix the problem however
this is not viable solution for us.

Details: It seems to be the SHIFT key which is causing the problem. Pressing
CAPS Lock and then O will cause capital O to be inserted. All letters except
A,B,C,D,E,F,Æ,Å and Ø are affected.

It appears that this issue/question is in regard a non-English version of the product. When you use the Danish version of Excel 2007,
you cannot press Shift+o to insert capital O. This newsgroup is only provided for English version support only.

Still it's a BUG and it should be fixed. :). Excel 2007 has been flawed with
respect to handling CTRL correctly on a multilanguage platform ever since the
day it was released and SP1 has only made the problem worse as the the SHIFT
key now also seems to be affected.

As far as I know we're running an English Microsoft Office Professional Plus
2007 with some additional language packs and previous to SP1 we had no
problems inserting a capital O by presssing Shift-O when the selected
language was "Danish".

I understand that you are using the English version of Office 2007 with additional language packs. I don't mean to bounce you to the
Danish local support team. However, as it works fine in English version of Office 2007 and the issue occurs when you switch to the
Danish language, it is better to work with the Danish local support. Thanks so much for your understanding.

Personal suggestion:

Based on my research, it should be a known issue in Office 2007. Such an issue occurs on multiple languages of Office 2007 (such as
Danish, French, etc.). It should be fixed by the hotfix 942430. However, the hotfix 942430 is not fully tested and published.

If the issue is urgent to your business, it is recommended that you contact Microsoft Customer Service and Support (CSS) via
telephone so that a dedicated Support Professional can assist you in resolving the issue in a more efficient manner. Please be advised
that contacting phone support will be a charged call. Indicates them that the issue may be fixed by hotfix 942430.
