The Engine Driver

I'm having a problem with a particular Excel file, which can be
downloaded from
http://projects.bre.co.uk/envdiv/school_acoustics/SchoolAcousticsv2_02.zip.
Its a spreadsheet used to calculate internal noise levels in rooms,
especially schools. Now I've used this spreadsheet in the past, about
2 years ago, and it worked fine then under Excel 2000 but for some
reason when I try to use it now it causes Excel to crash on opening.
I've tried opening it on five separate pcs and it will open on only
one of them, a laptop running XP which has a minimal installation
consisting of Office 2000, AVG a couple of other small applications.
One of the pcs is a laptop running Vista and it causes Excel 2000 to
crash on that one too, the others all run XP.

Any ideas anyone?

I am having trouble with Excel 2003 that I installed on a Windows Vista
machine from Best Buy (which I purchased in March of 2008). I have a
wireless network set up in my home office, and every now and then (and more
frequently lately) attempting to open a document from our server across this
network causes Excel to freeze up and report that it is "not responding" much
to my extreme frustration.

Does anyone have any ideas about this? I've had the network man in who set
the thing up, he can't track the problem down, and blames Vista. Another
machine, a laptop, is also connected to the network wirelessly, it's only
mine that is having this trouble.

Can anyone help?
