Excel Spreadsheets on Office Mobile

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel

Does anybody know if there is a fix for the problem where Excel spreadsheets created in Office 2008 cannot be opened in Office Mobile.

There was another thread on this, but the thread is closed and there did seem to be a resolution
