Microsoft has just release Excel 2003 for Windows (and is working on a new
version of Excel for the Mac). The new version may come up with different
answers for certain statistical calculations from older versions of Excel.
The article referenced below explains why there may be differences in
answers between the new version and older versions of Excel.
SUMMARY
This article describes six categories of improvements to the statistical
functions in Microsoft Office Excel 2003, points you (the reader) to more
specific articles, and gives at least some assessment of the affect of using
earlier versions of Microsoft Excel when functions have been improved for
Excel 2003.
